Keep it Reel Film Productions interviewed the charismatic, bigger-than-life Rutgers ex-student-athlete and alumni, Rich Brunson. Rich played for the Rutgers Men’s basketball team from 1979 to 1983. In this interview Rich touches on his relationship with Tom Young, who recently passed away, and his time at Rutgers as a student-athlete.

When Rich Brunson tells his stories, you’re there reliving it with him. He immerses you with his storytelling abilities. Our interview with Rich Brunson is part of our “The Forgotten Era” series that focuses on the experiences of players who were played for Rutgers Men’s basketball from the mid-70s to mid-80s.

The teams from the early 80s don’t get the credit they deserve since they came up short getting into the Final Four. Even the die-hard Rutgers Men’s basketball fans don’t realize Rutgers’ was once a powerhouse during this era. This project started to bring the players to the forefront since they’ve been ignored over the years.

From Rich Brunson’s relationship with Rutger’s most successful Coach Tom Young to his alarm clock that malfunctioned two days in a row, Rich will have you either smiling or laughing during the whole interview.
