Many addicts hit “rock bottom.” In this video, recovering addict Mike Kirk describes waking up after an alcohol-induced blackout and realizing he had set his neighbors house on fire. Miraculously, no one one injured in the blaze. Even after this incident, Mike continued to abuse drugs and alcohol, until he finally accepted his addition to drugs and alcohol was destroying his life. Hitting this low point was the start of Mike’s long journey to recovery from addition. Over a decade has passed since Mike last used drugs or alcohol. He currently lives a busy and fulfilling life as a professional skateboarder, actor, performer, and stand-up comedian.
